1. Who We Are
Triply ("we", "us", "Triply") operates the AI travel planning service at triply.now, including the itinerary chat, destination guides and related pages. Triply is run from the Netherlands, and this policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
A note on our legal status: Triply is currently an early-stage, pre-incorporation project — no formal company or legal entity has been registered yet. We're telling you this directly rather than inventing a corporate name, because we'd rather be honest about where we are than misrepresent it. This doesn't change your rights over your data, and as the project grows we intend to formalise this and update this policy accordingly.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@triply.now.
2. Data You Give Us Directly
Account & profile
If you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password via our authentication provider, Supabase. If you choose to complete a travel profile, we also store your traveller type, budget preference, pace, gender, and other trip preferences you provide. If you use Triply to plan travel that requires it, we may also store your passport and nationality details so we can tailor recommendations (for example, visa-relevant guidance) to your situation. All of this is used only to personalise your itineraries and is never sold.
Trip planning conversations
When you chat with Triply to build an itinerary, your messages are sent to our backend and processed by Anthropic's Claude AI models to generate a response, and to Amadeus to look up flight information. We don't use your conversations to train our own models.
Payments
Premium subscription payments are processed directly by Stripe. Triply never sees or stores your full card number — Stripe handles that under its own privacy policy.
Contact form
If you email us or use the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.
3. Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising, only after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is remembered locally in your browser and can be changed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
| Purpose | Provider | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | Page views, traffic sources, on-site behaviour |
| Advertising | Google Ads | Conversion tracking for our own ad campaigns |
| Hotel & affiliate maps | Stay22 | Powers the interactive hotel maps and converts booking links into affiliate links |
We only load the Google tags that require consent — analytics and advertising — after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Decline", those tags stay off (technically: Google Consent Mode signals are set to "denied").
4. Affiliate Links
Triply is free to use because we earn a small commission when you book through certain links on the site — hotels (via Stay22/Booking.com), tours and activities (GetYourGuide, Viator), trains and buses (Omio), flights (Kayak) and travel insurance (World Nomads). Using an affiliate link never costs you more — the commission comes from the partner, not from you.
When you click one of these links, technical data about that click (such as which link, when, and a tracking identifier) is shared with the relevant partner — Stay22, GetYourGuide or Viator — so they can attribute the booking to Triply and pay us a commission. From that point on, you're on the partner's own website, subject to their own cookies and privacy policy, and any personal data you give them for the booking itself (name, payment details, travel documents) is collected and processed by them directly, not by Triply.
5. Why We Use Your Data
- To generate and personalise your travel itineraries
- To operate your account and, if applicable, your Premium subscription
- To respond to support requests
- To understand how people use the site and improve it
- To measure whether our advertising is working
6. Your Rights
Because Triply operates from the Netherlands, your data is covered by the GDPR regardless of where you're located. You can exercise any of the following rights at any time by emailing support@triply.now:
- Access — ask us what personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Data portability — ask us for a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format so you can move it elsewhere
- Objection — object to certain uses of your data, such as advertising
We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days. You can also delete your account and associated profile data directly from the app, or by asking us to do it for you.
7. Data Retention & Security
We keep account data for as long as your account is active, and delete it within a reasonable period after account deletion. Chat conversations used to generate itineraries are retained only as long as needed to provide the service. We rely on our providers' (Supabase, Stripe, Google, Anthropic) own security measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
8. Children's Privacy
Triply is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
